Collaros' return masks a 2027 roster bet with no young QB elevated

Collaros, 38, has missed six regular-season games this year — four with a neck injury and two with a head injury — yet the Bombers list Dru Brown as backup, Bryce Perkins third-string, and moved Taylor Elgersma to the reserve roster. With Collaros saying he wants to play in 2027, Winnipeg is carrying three QBs on the active depth chart while its developmental QB sits on reserve. That's a succession-plan red flag, not just an injury return.
