Elsbury's benching is a one-game performance reset, not a youth movement

Tyler Elsbury took a holding penalty, delivered a bad snap, and allowed a sack in Winnipeg's loss to Montreal, prompting the Bombers to start Tui Eli at centre. Eli is 30, a 2019 fourth-round pick from Hawaii, and has 85 career regular-season CFL games; he already made one start at centre earlier this season when Elsbury shifted to right guard for Patrick Neufeld. Media will frame it as a lineup tweak, but it's a short-term stabilization of a churning interior.
