Winnipeg’s playoff-clinching win was a backup-unit mirage

B.C.’s B and C teams had Winnipeg on the ropes for three quarters, with Kaidon Salter connecting on deep shots including an early touchdown to first-round pick Nate Demontagnac, while Jermaine Jackson surpassed 1,000 yards in that game. The Bombers are 9-9 and crossing over; their Week 21 film is less a validation of playoff form than a warning that they struggled to separate from a Lions lineup resting front-line pieces.
