Tommy Stevens Is the Bombers' Quiet Locker-Room Power Broker

Stevens is Winnipeg's nominee for the CFLPA Tom Pate Memorial Award, one of nine team honorees for sportsmanship, community, and union work. As a backup QB, he doesn't throw many passes, but his union/community standing gives him credibility in a room with an aging Collaros and a frustrated Oliveira. That's the kind of behind-the-scenes influence that shapes player-only meetings and contract talks.
