A national practice-roster body is cheap playoff insurance

Janusas is a national, and CFL game-day rosters mandate a minimum number of Canadian starters. With Winnipeg at 7-8 and the West a four-team logjam — Lions, Riders, Stampeders, and Bombers all able to host or miss — a Canadian receiver on the practice roster is low-cost ratio insurance that can be activated without disturbing the American count. His 2024 Guelph team MVP pedigree and 4 career CFL catches for 26 yards make him a free, zero-risk look.
