Montreal published the blueprint for beating Winnipeg's man-heavy secondary

A few weeks after losing to the Bombers, Montreal hung 440 passing yards on Winnipeg, with Tyson Philpot catching 11 balls for 207 yards — two single-season CFL records plus a franchise mark. The damage was concentrated between the numbers, where Winnipeg's linebackers and nickel backs were a step late in trail coverage all night. The tell: 2026 first-round pick Rohan Jones scored his first career touchdown in that same game, meaning a rookie was locating the same soft spots the veterans were.
