Winnipeg is getting beaten by other teams' draft classes

Montreal's 2026 first-round pick Rohan Jones scored his first career CFL touchdown in the Bomber blowout, on the same night the Alouettes got a record-setting performance from Canadian receiver Tyson Philpot. When a first-contract rookie and a national receiver are the two players deciding a game with West seeding implications, the gap isn't talent — it's the ratio of cheap, ascending production to veteran, plateaued production. That's a roster-construction problem the Bombers have to solve before the November math gets locked in.
