Bombers' secondary depth crisis exposed in Montreal

Winnipeg surrendered 440 passing yards to Davis Alexander and 207 receiving yards to Tyson Philpot on 11 catches, both season-highs against the Bombers. With 36 first downs allowed and 40:38 time of possession, the defensive backfield lacked the speed to match Montreal's slot receivers. This points to a roster crunch: Winnipeg has been cycling through practice-roster defensive backs, and the lack of continuity is now costing them in the standings.
