Philpot's 207-yard record came with Bombers' DBs in position

Tyson Philpot made 11 catches for 207 yards, setting the CFL single-season receiving record among Canadian players. On the 52- and 46-yard deep shots, Evan Holm and Trey Vaval were in good position, meaning Winnipeg's coverage wasn't always busted; they lost at the catch point. That's a hidden ball-skills issue for a secondary that relies on tight coverage.
