Veteran DBs, Not Rookies, Blew Assignments

Tony Jones took an illegal hands-to-the-face penalty and missed a key second-down tackle on Philpot in the second quarter; Major Williams missed a tackle on Tyler Snead midway through the third. Meanwhile, Evan Holm and Trey Vaval were in sound position on Alexander's 52- and 46-yard deep shots to Philpot. The accountability gap is veterans making mental errors while young DBs execute.
