Winnipeg is quietly buying ratio insurance at the back end of the roster

The Bombers added Global defensive lineman Thiadric Hansen — who only recently rejoined the practice roster as a free agent — and Canadian defensive back Ethan Stuart in depth roles, while moving Womack off the active roster. That's a Global-plus-national cushion heading into the stretch run, giving the club flexibility if the defensive front or secondary takes another hit. It's the kind of roster-ratio move that never shows up in a box score but decides who can dress in November.
