Negotiation List Move Signals QB Succession Planning

Winnipeg claimed 22-year-old UMass quarterback William 'Pop' Watson, who has completed 74.0 percent for 610 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception while rushing for 154 yards and four scores in a 4-0 start. Compare that to his Virginia Tech tape: 57.1 percent, one touchdown against two picks, and just 81 rushing yards across three seasons. The 16.9-point completion jump and 6:1 TD-to-INT flip cost the Bombers nothing — negotiation list slots are first-come, first-served and carry no cap hit until a contract is signed.
