The Neg-List QB Add Is a Succession Play, Not a Depth Flyer

William 'Pop' Watson, 22, is 4-0 as a UMass starter with a 74.0 percent completion rate, 610 passing yards, six passing touchdowns against one interception — plus 26 carries for 154 yards (5.9 per attempt) and four rushing scores. That's 10 total touchdowns in four games from a dual-threat passer, a sharp contrast to his Virginia Tech tape (57.1 percent, 1 TD/2 INT, 1.5 yards per carry). Winnipeg is stockpiling mobility behind its veteran starter while it fights for a playoff spot — a move that signals they're planning past the current window.
