Winnipeg's Defensive Front Is Down Five Bodies — and Montreal Is the Worst Possible Timing

Tuesday's practice report listed five defensive linemen as non-participants: Jake Ceresna (knee), Michael Fletcher (illness), Nuer Gatkuoth (foot), Matt Jaworski (elbow), and Tanner Schmekel (illness). That's an entire rotation wiped out in one week, with OL Jarell Broxton also sidelined, right before a road trip to an 11-3 Montreal team coming off a bye. The Bombers (7-7) can't rotate bodies up front against a rested Alouettes offense — expect heavy snaps for whoever's left and a soft edge in the run game.
