Brown's clutch trust map skipped Singer and forced Demski into double coverage

Brown's favorite early target was Dorian Singer, who scored on a touch pass, and he later overthrew Singer on a would-be 50-yard gain. But on the two critical interceptions — the third-quarter pick by Alex Teubner and the final one by James Ceasar — Brown went to Nic Demski, with three defenders around him on the first. That's a locker-room signal: under pressure, Brown reverted to the veteran Demski instead of the speedster who had separation or the back averaging 7.7 yards per carry.
