Dru Brown's June trade is Winnipeg's real QB insurance

Acquired from Ottawa in June, Brown has already made four starts in place of Collaros, going 2-2 with 70.2% completion, 1,148 yards, 5 TD, and 5 INT. His career 77-game line (68.7%, 8,980 yards, 51 TD, 27 INT) shows a 1.89 TD/INT ratio, far better than his 2025 1.0, suggesting the Bombers are betting on regression to career mean. With Collaros out, Winnipeg also moved Canadian QB Taylor Elgersma from reserve to active as third-string.
