The team is leaning on him harder anyway — 33 carries for 235 yards over the last two games vs. 24-176 in the prior two — while his receiving pace has dipped to 45 catches from 61 last year. Paying a bell-cow back whose signature stat no longer predicts wins is a cap-level problem, not just a running-game issue.
